Once they showed us , The Boys had to learn the Haka and the girls had to learn the Waiata.
We only had 20 Minutes to learn the Waiata and the actions.
After We had to show the LH2 Learners in the Multi-Space , we did well because you can't really learn much in 20 minutes .
Then we sang a song to them the song was Te Aroha .After it was time for lunch so we said thank you and bye.
Then We had Lunch.

Kia Ora Ash,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great recount of Monday morning from last week. The MI learners were pretty awesome weren't they? I'd like to know more about the Maori words that you learned- could you give me some examples? What's your favourite colour? animal? number? in te reo? Aim for 6-10 sentences please.
Ms Wilkes
Hey ash
ReplyDeleteLoved your post and it's very true that you can't learn much in 20 minutes. I don't think you didn't do anything bad. Keep up the good work.

Divya,
DeleteCommenting isn't about 'catching them doing anything bad'- ask a question if you can't offer any feedback. What do the words mean in Te Aroha? What was the waiata called? Would you like to join a kapa haka group? What else did you learn in Maori week? Did you finish your mihi in your leanring pathway? Any of these questions show Ash that you read her post and are interested.

Tena Koe Ash,
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know you's have enjoyed Maori Language Week, and you're enjoying learning Te Reo. Keep up the work!
